Paul J. Cartwright - Solo Violin

This library includes standard fast legato, a rare double-stop open string legato, short articulations and a custom suite of playable tonal FX. Paul has also created a percussive FX set that we've set to a sequencer patch based around chops and short 4th and 5th double stops providing endless rhythmic textures.

Paul  J.  Cartwright is a Los Angeles–based violinist, multi-instrumentalist and composer whose playing is highly sought after by recording artists, producers and composers for film, television and AAA video games.

Cartwright’s violin features prominently in the scores of Emmy award winner Bear  McCreary, including Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, God of War, Caprica and the score of SOCOM 4.

Outside the scoring stage Paul has toured or recorded with many artists including Macy Gray, Kenny Loggins, Dr. Dre, members of Oingo  Boingo and Los  Lobos, and records by Kendrick  Lamar, SZA and most recently co‑writing and performing on Chappell Roan’s 2025 single “The Giver”.
