Who are the Sonicsmiths?

With over 25 years of experience developing sample libraries, Sonicsmiths returns to the commercial market with a deep legacy of instrument design for film, games, and private clients. Their work has directly shaped the sound of major projects including The Dark Knight, Inception, Mad Max, League of Legends, and Inside Out. As former Cinesamples developers, they create focused, high-quality instruments that fill meaningful gaps in today’s sample library landscape.

Frequently Asked Questions

I was redirected here from Cinesamples?

Piano in Blue and Collision were previously offered by Cinesamples. We have made an arrangement with Cinesamples to sell these products. They are still available through Cinesamples' platform Musio, but no longer for individual sale on Cinesamples.

Sonicsmiths now supports the NI Version (encoded) of Collision and Piano in Blue and will continue to develop and support them moving forward. NOTE: if you previously purchased Piano in Blue from Cinesamples prior to Oct 2021 please follow the instructions in the "How do I Update my Piano in Blue?"

How do I update my Piano in Blue?

If you have the serialized player version - OPEN Native Access and update from there, if you don't see it in Native Access, then you need to do the following:

1. Create/Login with your original purchase email (if you need to update to a new email you will need to contact us directly)
2. Add Piano in Blue to your cart
3. CLICK "CHECKOUT"
4. The discount will automatically apply as long as you are LOGGED IN. If it does not read $15, either you have the wrong email or have never purchased the OLD version of Piano in Blue.
5. For those who purchased via BestService.de and you are not seeing this upgrade, please send us your original receipt and we'll fix this in our backend.

Is Kontakt Dead?

In short, no. We create and maintain our libraries currently with Native Instruments and distribute through Native Access. There are many alternative samplers on the market and we will continue to explore those as options, but for now - Kontakt is our best option for distribution and playback of our libraries. As Native evolves as a company we will evolve with it.

Can I get a Refund?

We sell exclusively digital products, so unfortunately we can not offer refunds once a product is downloaded and registered.

If you have purchased a product but have not registered the serial number, please contact us for options. We are committed to being a good faith seller and will always work with you when possible.

Install/Setup Libraries

All of our libraries are encoded for NKS (native kontrol standard) and are available for authorization and download in the Native Access App.

Follow the link above to download and install Native Access. Once set up on your machine, input your product serial into Native Access to authorize and download your content.

STEPS:

Step 1 - Native Access Setup

If you are unfamiliar with Native Access, or do not have a Native Instruments account, you will need one to authorize and download your library.

Follow this link: Native Access to download and install the Native Access App

Step 2 - Kontakt Player Setup

The Free Kontakt player is available to download directly in the Native Access app in the "Instruments" category under the "Available" tab. If not available for any reason, a direct download can be found HERE

Step 3 - Authorization

Find your serial number in the email you received from Sonicsmiths after purchasing your library. (If you haven't received a serial within 20 min, please contact us - check your SPAM before doing so.)

Copy your library serial number, and paste it into the "Add Serial" section of Native Access, which can be found on the bottom left of the App.

Step 4 - Download Content

Once the library is successfully authorized in Native Access, it will be available for download in the "Available" tab, found at the top of the Native Access App.

Step 5 - Open In Kontakt Player

Once the library is authorized and downloaded, it will be available in the Kontakt Player Libraries Tab.

Open the Kontakt Player app either as a standalone or as a plug-in in your DAW. Make sure the Library Tab view is active, and you should see your library there ready to load.

Do you still make private/bespoke libraries?

Yes we still support our private clients with bespoke libraries. These are expensive to create and we are happy to provide time/cost estimates if you are interested. We also supply sound design products as synth patches and other unique pallet builders. We also provide midi mock-up services and mastering. Please contact us if you are interested in any such service.
